Revell Airbus A380 "New Livery"

One of the key milestones in the Airbus A380 program took place on January 18, 2005. The world's first full-length double-decker aircraft was officially unveiled to the world at a ceremony at the final of Jean-Luc Lagardere's final assembly hall in Toulouse, France. More than 4,500 guests attended this event. The A380 unveiling also introduces Airbus' new livery. The A380 is the first aircraft to display the company's new colours, which not only reflect Airbus' current market position but also the ambition to continue to deliver excellence in aviation in the future.

The first passenger service began in 2006 when the A380 went into service. The first A380 to fly in the air landed at Blagnac International Airport in Toulouse, France on April 27, 2005 at 2:23 p.m. local time (12:23 p.m. UTC) after successfully completing its first flight, which lasted three hours and 54 minutes had completed. For its first flight, the A380 took off at 421 tons (928,300 lbs), the highest ever from a civilian commercial aircraft. This maiden voyage, in which all primary flight test destinations were achieved, marks the beginning of a long test flight campaign with five A380s. The scope and accuracy of the A380 ground and flight test program should also prepare for smooth commissioning.
